Pacific Light
Port Orford, Oregon
I had been shooting Oregon coast for days, and was faced with blank skies. This morning I headed out for the sixth time to the base of Orford lighthouse. Watching the light go through the fog was mesmerizing. This morning is what I dream for - a real mood. I felt a real connection with the scene and quickly set up my gear as the scene lighted in front of me. The scene was moving fast, the fog was lifting and the light continuing to cast its beam. I fired off a series of shots, now was the time. Minutes later, the fog cleared and the lights went out. It was like a different place. I captured the mood I was chasing.
