The powerful Maroon Bells of Colorado are one of my favorite places to visit, especially during the explosion of autumn when a true rainbow of living color stretches across the entire mountain range. On this day, I set out to capture the inherent harmony in nature, which can be found all, over this expansive region. I could barely contain my excitement on this morning, as I searched through the collection of seasonal gifts from Mother Nature that just completely awoke my soul. As I reached the edge of this clearing, I could not believe my eyes. The stark white, vertical aspens standing before me created these visual lines – totally complemented by the lush rows of changing leaves in the background, which gave my final image tremendous depth and dimension. Tones of red, yellow, green, orange, and gold filled up my view, and created a stunning color palette I continued to enjoy for moments after I pressed the shutter. It is a brilliant vision that still rocks me every time I gaze at it.
